Innovative faculty research makes education stronger.

Faculty in the College of Education & Human Development investigate today’s most pressing educational challenges, issues and opportunities. Through groundbreaking research, they bring information and ideas to practitioners and policymakers that make a real difference in how teachers teach and students learn.

Our researchers are known around the world for developing schoolwide positive behavior support programs, creating virtual learning experiences to help children with autism, and implementing new approaches to teaching mathematics and science to name just a few areas of expertise.

College of Education & Human Development grant expenditures totaled more than $18.6 million in FY 2022.

Researchers are backed by the full force and support of the University of Missouri — a research-intensive university and one of only 34 public U.S. universities selected for membership in the prestigious American Association of Universities (and one of only two Missouri institutions to be selected).
