Kate Sadler

Kate M. Sadler, PhD, BCBA-D, LBA is an Assistant Teaching Professor of Special Education in the College of Education & Human Development at the University of Missouri. She received her PhD in Special Education with an emphasis in Autism Spectrum Disorders and Cognitive Psychology at the University of Missouri; Columbia. She completed her post-doctoral work in Applied Behavior Analysis at the University of Virginia. Dr. Sadler has over 25 years of experience working with individuals impacted by neuro-developmental disabilities, and autism spectrum disorders (ASD) in various roles (as an early childhood special education teacher, special education teacher, behavior analyst, psychological examiner). She has worked as a program director at various private and non-profit locations, including Easterseals Midwest, where her focus involved training, mentoring, supervising new and existing employees, providing evidence-based interventions, and assessment. Her clinical work focuses on providing behavior analytic services, vocational support, advocacy, and life skills training to adults with neurodevelopmental disabilities and mental health needs. Dr. Sadler’s research interests include treatments to modify aggressive and/or maladaptive behavior, the impact of functional analysis and communication training for adults with ASD, the impact of video modeling and video self-modeling on behaviors, self-advocacy, and parent/family coaching. Dr. Sadler is deeply committed to the development and implementation of evidence based interventions to support individuals impacted by emotional, behavioral, and/or neurodevelopmental disabilities across the lifespan.
