Missouri Middle School Students Explore Careers with HOMRPDC
The Heart of Missouri Regional Professional Development Center (HOMRPDC) hosted a “nontraditional career day” at Mizzou for more than 70 Missouri middle school students on April 4.
The day was broken into three clusters: health services in the School of Health Professions, industrial and engineering technology in the College of Engineering, and natural resources and agriculture with the College of Agriculture, Food & Natural Resources.
“The purpose of this event is to provide middle school students a greater awareness and understanding of non-traditional career opportunities,” said Jeff Beiswinger, career advisor for HOMRPDC. “Our focus is on exploration and getting kids involved in areas that they might find interesting for their career.”
